April 26

I can’t believe it will be May next week! Time has been FLYING. Next week I’m done with the semester, so this past week the stress has been building up. That one thing, or things in this case, that got me through this week were my best friends. Even though I had a good doctor’s appointment/weight-in last week, this week has been really rough. Because of that good appointment, I decided to join my family to go visit our family for Easter like we normally do. My mom said that I could stay home in order to avoid getting anxiety and to keep my eating routine that helped me so much, but I felt like I would have regretted not going.

Easter was very stressful for me, and I lost a lot of the weight that I had gained prior to then. In addition to all of those anxieties, the stress of finals and of the decisions that I have to make about next semester have been making my stomach and anxiety even worse. My best friends have been so good and supportive of me and they have always been there during this journey. They are amazing every week, but this past week I have been thinking about them more than usual. Every day I thank God for them, and I’ve been so blessed to have these amazing women by my side. At SEEK this past January, Sarah Swafford said to find your “strive tribe;” those women who push you to be the best daughter of Christ you can be. So this week I’d like to thank my Strive Tribe for everything they’ve done and for running the race with me. Get you a best friend who will buy you St. Therese socks and a medal for Christmas. Find your Strive Tribe ladies! It not only makes the pain and struggle of how you feel easier to cope with, but it also makes this journey to sainthood we’re all on more doable (and more fun too!).
